  1. I am so glad you told us about the ingredients, so much false advertising. I’m going to try your recipe!

  2. has anybody found their face flushing with heat after drinking the homemade soda??
my face turned red and my blood pressure felt high.

  3. Is there a reason you didnt premix the syrup into the water before carbonating it? The drinkmate is supposed to be able to handle that.

  4. Wondering if Agave can be used as a substitute with the sugar for those that can’t have sugar

  5. Here’s a tip, add a cup of lime juice to the boil, and you’ll get "ginger ale" syrup when you’re done!

  6. I’m a ginger ale junky. I can do without all other sodas … except that one. And to find out there is no real ginger in it! 😲 I’m going to try this with half white cane sugar and half stevia. Can’t wait.😄

  7. Looks great. Can’t wait to try it but I won’t bother peeling the ginger – certainly for an extract like this is!

  8. Ginger ale? In indonesia we use ginger syrup with sweetend condensed milk, wedang ronde etc

Edit : thanks for the recipe. I’ll try it..

  9. Must be why I love Canada Dry so much b/c I can’t do real ginger, way too spicy for my taste buds. Lol

  10. a pinch of sea salt brings all flavors together. I make mine with raw honey (I don’t cook honey) and fresh lime juice.

  11. I used to like Red Rock Ginger Ale, that was REAL Ginger Ale. Could hardly drink it, it was so spicy. I randomly looked up how to make Ginger Ale, & here I am 🤷🏽‍♀️

  12. Well…
You know, you can, actually, make the bubbles with natural fermentation inside the bottle.
THEN will be a REAL ginger ale…

  13. Canada Dry doesn’t taste the same anymore I have to buy the BOLD it’s still not where it should be either..Shwepps have changed also in my the last few months….

  14. You can improove this by not boiling the lime zest, it just turns bitter.
Peel all the lime and cover it in the sugar you include later. Let that sugar zest mixture sit for an hour or two. By that you get all the oils from the lime peel.
Mix in the lime sugar about 5 minutes before the ginger ale is done.

    What’s with the lime juice?
I add it 2 minutes before everything is done. By that you don’t waste the lime juice. I prefeer that taste by far over a simple ginger ale.

  15. The real problem isn’t that they don’t have ginger it’s that they all contain high fructose corn syrup.

  16. I just made this! AMAZING!!! I 100% recommend it, I don’t love ginger ale but I love ginger beer so I used less sugar and put more syrup to fizzy water

  17. I definitely going to be giving this a try in the next few days. Have always wanted to make my own Ginger ale cause I think it would taste better.

  18. I love ginger ale it’s my favorite soda besides Pepsi and a bunch of Spanish sodas I’ve had as a kid

    Seagram’s is the best imo

  19. I found the recipe to taste pretty good. Personally, I don’t know if it is worth it. I bought a pound of ginger which cost me $3 as well as some fresh lime. I found that the ginger flavor is more minor than I would have liked and more syrup is needed. I would recommend dialing down the sugar amount to compensate for the possible extra syrup. The end result is a fresh delicious drink that takes over about an hour to make, and, for my syrup usage, did not get me through my 12 pack of seltzer water. It’s pricey but good.

  20. Can I use mineral water? Sorry of my English is bad, is not my primary language. Thanks for the recipe and for response

  21. i just made this today … I couldn’t find anywhere ginger ale for my Jameson lol merry Christmas and thank youu !!!

  22. did it have an eggy sulfuric taste? if so how do you avoid this other than using ginger extract? maybe ginger powder or some citric acid helps kill it?

  23. Well, Some Do People Cheat By Using Out Of The Jar Ginger!..Real Ginger Can Be Expensive If U Dont Grow Yer Own!
