Want to know how to start the Keto Diet? I’ve been doing the Keto Diet for awhile now and wanted to share my Ultimate Beginner’s Guide to Keto, how to start the Keto Diet and what to expect when you start the Ketogenic Diet! There are a lot of things I wish I would have known before I started the Ketogenic Diet, what foods to eat on the keto diet and how to get out of a Keto Diet Plateau. So I’ve put all of that in this one video for you guys to help you know how to start the Keto Diet–but more importantly, how to be SUCCESSFUL on the Ketogenic Diet!

I lost 9 pounds in the first 7 days of doing the Keto Diet! And even when weight loss on keto has been slower, or I’ve hit a Keto Plateau, I’ve still felt amazing eating a low-carb, high-fat diet. So I hope my Keto Tips for Success help you in this video!

  1. The reason you’re seeing numbers drop straight away and then plateau is because a lot of it is water weight that comes off first.

    After your body recognises that it’s not getting carbs anymore and this diet is the new norm, the plateau should end when you get into ketogenisis.

    Also a good way to kick a plateau is to do something new that your body isn’t used to. For example, if you usually do cardio for your exercise (walk, run, cycle) you can add weightlifting into the mix. Then the weightloss / fatloss should begin again 🙂

  2. Starting the Keto lifestyle and dropping the weight quickly comes down to the fact you are reducing you carb intake which then releases the water weight + electrolytes. So essentially, you are losing water weight that is stored by carbs in your body. That is why, once, the carbs controlled, the weight plateaus. That is when you need to up the fat MODERATELY to start to adapt. Once you adapt and are flexible start intermittent fasting in tandem and the results will achieved.

  12. First time I did Keto I lost 30+ pounds. I tried a second time and I really lost control with snacking and lost nothing. I would say if you’re a snacker, avoid things like peanuts, cashews and jerky entirely because it’s easy to go overboard. Just focus on what you’re going to eat for the next meal and find something to stay busy. Once you’re in ketosis the cravings will go away for the most part.

  16. theres a few things i have to say here..
    first off. Keto is 20 grams of carbs per day. NOT a percentage.
    also fiber causes constipation. it doesn’t solve anything. that’s what the science says.

  19. Do you base the percents on the calories to maintain weight (using a bmr calculator) or the calories to lose ? For example if I can eat 1800 calories to maintain and 500 calories less …1300 in order to lose a pound a week .. which is 3500 calories less a week .. Do I base percentages on maintenance calories or reduced calories amount ?
